Aveo Bath by Villeroy & Boch now on display
With its curved lines and flowing contours, Villeroy & Boch’s iconic Aveo bathroom collection, is proving popular with homeowners wishing to make the most of the current trend for nature-inspired bathrooms.
Created by the international design agency Conran & Partners, Aveo has been inspired by the egg as an organic form, which represents a protective shell; the egg shaped ceramic pieces have been designed, to produce a pure sanctuary in which to unwind, relax and forget about the external world.
Conran & Partners created a bathroom collection that combines comfort and luxury with superior aesthetic qualities.
Aside from the powerful symbolism of the egg form, the designers were fascinated by the rounded contours and natural purity, which alludes to "a shape that moves away from the predictability and sterility of symmetries".
Nakedness is given a whole new meaning within the shell of this bath - shelter and warmth, instead of exposure and vulnerability.
The Aveo collection also includes perfectly harmonising bathroom furniture, made from either bamboo or walnut veneer and demonstrates Villeroy & Boch’s commitment to superb craftsmanship; by dispensing with handles and ornamental mountings, the pure wood effect perfectly complements Aveo’s simple ceramics.
